Description
Framingham residents, Louise Parker Mayo and Josephine Collins, received this pin from the National Women’s Party in 1917 and 1919, respectfully, for picketing for suffrage and consequently sentenced to prison. This pin is a reproduction of the original pin donated to the Framingham History Center by Katherine Mayo Rorstrom, Louise’s eldest daughter. The pin is a powerful reminder of women’s victory in breaking out of conventional roles.
It can be worn as a pin or pendant.
Sterling Silver, made in the USA.
