HISTORIC FRAMINGHAM HOUSES | Esty/ Stone/ Wiggins House
This series of limited edition notecards are reproduced from a group of watercolors painted by artist William Chignalo. These cards are available individually or in packets of four.
The card reads:
“Esty/ Stone/ Wiggins House
Built 1825-26
Timothy Walker of Charlestown commissioned the hosue as a wedding gift for his daughter Mary upon her marriage to Dr. Simon Whitney, a physician. Framingham architect and builder Dexter Esty constructed it in 1825-26. The hosues, originally across from the Center Common, was moved in 1918, when it was remodeled by architect George Chouteau Brown.
